(ii)  “Life is movement, but
complacent people are, in effect,
in an arrested condition
.

(iii)
The mind, therefore, seeks new
peaks of experience, which can and
often does lead to a variety of forms of
corruption and perversion.

(iv)
Thus complacency is ultimately
self-destructive, and whole societies
can be destroyed by it.

6.)  Mr. Creme also explained that**,

a.)  Complacent ones are attached to
what makes them complacent – whether
it is being privileged, ‘well off’, or feeling
like immune, above or separate from
the pain and suffering of humanity.

b.)
Complacency is another word
for selfishness.
Root of corruption

5.)  Lord Said, through
Mr. Benjamin Creme
*:

a.)
No understanding of the spiritual
crisis in the world is possible without
clear consideration of causes.

(i)
“Complacency is the root of all
evil in the world
. …

(ii)
“Complacency is a form of
corruption which is not ‘outside’
but inside.”

b.)  Where there is wealth [and
privilege
], there you will find
complacency and that is the source of
corruption. …”

(i)
When people move in this mental
atmosphere of complacency,
they are
essentially cut off from their real
Selves
and fall into a monotonous
routine – that is, ‘the same old thing’
day in and day out.
