| *** Teacher and disciple A True Teacher’s responsibility and work: *1.) Can instruct disciple only within the boundaries of what is permitted. *2.) Uplifts disciple, by directing, pointing out and cleansing him of outworn [bad old] habits. *3.) Warns disciple against all his many various kinds of betrayal, disobedience, selfishness, false pride, negative thoughts, treason, superstition and hypocrisy. *4.) Tests disciple both openly and secretly. |
| Four kinds of disciples *1.) First kind: follows all of Teacher’s Indications, so ascends in proper order. *2.) Second kind: behind the Teacher’s back, follows the Indications to excess and thereby often harm themselves. [ Notes: Beware of any obvious, creeping or hiding selfishness. ] *3.) Third kind: in Teacher’s absence, takes occasion to prattle [gossip, or meaningless and childish talk] and thereby destroy their [spiritual] path. *4.) Fourth and worst kind: behind Teacher’s back: criticizes, slanders and betrays Teacher. *** Dreadful is the future for these last two kinds [to suffer by bearing Heavy Karma]. |
