a.)  fill one’s stomach,


b.)  transform food into: heat, warmth,
and energy require for daily activities
(& livelihood),


*c.)  So please remember, eating is
not for enjoying or satisfying one’s:

i)  taste buds,

ii)  desire to fulfill indulgence of
attachment to certain foods

***d.)  In other words, eating is for
necessity only, not want
!
Self-discipline by one’s spirit & mind
(totally detaching from all lower
desires):

“If spirituality
* could be achieved just
by eating vegetable matter, the
elephant and the cow would have
attained it long ago.”

..If a person is weakened by hunger or
thirst, if he is too tired to control his
emotions and thoughts, how can he
possibly reach the goal which can be
reached only by means of a clear mind
