| When we are concern with our own gain and loss, we are driven to maximize the gain and minimize the loss. While exhaustingly trying to maximize and minimize, we will always be uncomfortable until the outcome is what we expect, or better than we expect. A selfish life is always filled with constant fear or uncomfortable moments until results are achieved. A selfish life is extremely stressful. There is no freedom because we are completely dependent on external conditions. Fear is the only outcome of selfishness. Peace is one of the many beautiful outcomes of Selflessness. Selfish only leads to self destruction because we always reap what we sow. When we are selfish, all we care about is ourselves so we completely cut off ourselves from the rest of the universe. We are cut off from God, because God is in everything. However, God is not in us when we are selfish because we willingly reject God. |
| The Great Divine Law of Karma is absolutely fair and just. We always reap what we sow. Selfless intentions returns good Karma, and selfish intentions returns bad Karma. However, when we try to be Selfless for good Karma then we are actually selfish. When we are selfish, we will never find peace, no matter how much we try to lie to ourselves that we are at peace. When we are selfish we only find conditional peace. We are only peaceful when we have the conditions we desire. Even after having the conditions we desire, the peace will not last. True peace is only thru Selflessness, because peace means no more fears. The only way to get rid of all the fears is through Selfless Love. Fear is the direct result of selfishness. When we are selfish we only care about our own gain and loss so naturally and automatically fear will exist. |
