One should understand the true value of symbols to the consciousness. a.) For example, the symbol of a small boat is far better than that of any modern ship. b.) A small boat, because of its vulnerability, responds more directly to the danger of the elements. c.) Even in its seed, the spirit is subject to the action of the elements. So it is good to be a friend to the elements, especially the all-binding fire. |
